Crush Cosmetics Haul

Hey everyone! I got my wisdom teeth out last week, and being bed bound for a week and a half was not good for my bank account. Turns out there's nothing much to do but watch movies and shop online! So I've been wanting a lot of these products for a long time, and thought it was about time I made a purchase. I'm super excited about the Sleek products and the MUA palettes.

Sleek 'Blush By 3 Palette' in 'Lace'

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in 'Storm'
MUA eyeshadow palettes, 'Undress Me Too' and 'Heaven and Earth'
NYX Powder Blush in 'Mocha'

I haven't had a chance to try all of the products yet, but I'll definitely post an update of my thoughts later. I'm loving the MUA eyeshadows and the NYX blush. I'm going to wear the Sleek blush and eyeshadows tonight!

$4 Beauty Blender Dupe

For all the Aussie bloggers out there who desperately want to try the Beauty Blender but don't want to drop $30 on it plus international shipping, I've found an awesome copy of it in Kmart! This baby is only $4, so why not give it a go!
It's a bit heavier and denser than the actual Beauty Blender, but for $4 you can't really go wrong. I found that with the Beauty Blender, you could apply your foundation with the sponge without actually wetting it first. (However I wouldn't recommend applying it without wetting it - it doesn't go on as well, plus it's much harder to get your foundation out of a dry sponge.) But with the Kmart version, because it's so tough I feel you need to wet it to get the best results.
If any of you beauty bloggers out there have tried it, let me know your thoughts! Have you found another cheap dupe?

Internship Wardrobe

Hey everyone!
So I'm interning at Prevention Magazine once a week which is great! And it's so fun being able to wear heels every day.
Seeing as I'm in my second year of uni it's pretty much the time to do internships and get experience in the fields I'm interested in. I've also been looking at international exchange programs in America, specifically around California. If you've done an exchange or known someone that has, I'd love your feedback on them!
Jacket - Glassons, Jeans - Dr. Denim via General Pants, Boots - The Iconic, Top - Glassons, Bag - Sportsgirl, Neckalce - Sportsgirl
I've bought a heap of makeup products lately so I'll be posting reviews for your soon :)

Autumn Essentials

Hey everyone! Thought I'd do a post today on outfit perfect for Autumn. It's been getting a bit colder here so I've been wearing outfits like this to uni everyday. Nothing better than an anorak and jeans combo! You can easily dress this up too with boots instead of converse. I got this quilted jumper the other day from Glassons and I love it. I'll be buying the black version soon!

Napoleon Perdis Devine Goddess Lipstick in Eros

Hey everyone! Got another beauty review for you today, on this gorgeous Napoleon Perdis Lipstick! I had $35 left on my gift card, and these lipsticks had such gorgeous packaging I had to get one. While choosing which colour to get (I am extremely indecisive), I was torn between getting a more neutral colour which I could wear more often. But whats the fun in that when you could get a colour as beautiful as this! Its not quite red but more of a berry. I'm still to try it out on a night out, but from what I've tried so far I think it'll past the test. It's extremely long wearing - I had a shower before bed and when I woke up my lips were still stained! It also feels really nice on your lips, didn't dry mine out at all, which is unusual for a lipstick!

I'll definitely post an update on how it lasts on a night out; don't know if its just me, but my makeup gets very messy once I've been dancing and drinking!
I'm thinking of wearing a black outfit, but might even wear it with the blue top I'm wearing in the top picture. What colours would you wear with it?

Welcome to the jungle

I couldn't believe it when I found this dress in shops! I had seen a similar bodycon version on Charissa Rae, and a shirt version on Amy Valentine, but both were sold out by the time I saw their posts. Of course, I loved the print. Check out the hat I got today from Rubi shoes! I've wanted a floppy hat for so long, but was a bit hesitant of getting a felt one as I thought it'd be too hot for spring. I've also ordered a natural straw colour one from their online store which I'm waiting to arrive.

Dress - Blossom (also at City Beach), Sandals - Betts, Hat - Rubi
It was so hot today that I was even too hot in this outfit, but that hat would be perfect for the beach.
Do you guys like it? What do you think of the print? Can't wait to hear from you :)

Topshop Lips in Brighton Rock

Hey lovelies, thought I'd do a post today on this lipstick that arrived the other day! I placed an order from Topshop, (opps), and bought quite a few things. I've always wanted to try a Topshop lipstick so I thought I'd add this to my order! I had to pay for shipping though, and just my luck, the next day a free shipping code for Australia came out :(
I looked at photos of it on other blogs, and it looked really different on everyone. I found it to be much more neon than I expected!
I don't wear lipstick all the time as my lips are so dry its just not pretty! This one applied really nicely and felt really nice on my lips, but after a while became really cracked. I found it stays nicely with a layer of lipbalm over/under it.

As I'm so pale I really find it nice to have some colour on my lips!
What do you guys think of the colour? What other makeup would you wear with it?

Golden elephants

Hey everyone! Have another post for you today, in my favourite dress! Don't know why I saved this post for so long. It's another beauty from MinkPink, one of my favourite brands, who make the most adorable dresses. And I love anything elephants!
I usually wear it with a belt because it's more flattering, as the style is very smock like. I do love myself a smock dress but they really don't do your figure any favours!

Dress - MinkPink 'Pride Lands' Dress
The back's not the most flattering thing, especially with the belt, but if I'm at uni or something I'll wear a black cami underneath so it hides some of that white!
I usually pair it with a plain black bag and black sandals, as the pattern is so busy I don't like to draw attention away from it.
How would you style it?

Confessions of a shopaholic

Surprise Surprise.. I went shopping and bought more aztec! Just the one thing I didn't need! But I could't resist when I saw this in Glassons.. and it was on sale!
I really better stop spending so much if I ever want to go overseas. But pretty clothes are so tempting!
I definitely admit that I'm a shopaholic! Good thing I work so much and never spend over $100 on an item of clothing!
How do you like the cream wall behind me? I went for a drive this morning and thought it looked perfect for a post, and a different look to my usual. It's so much easier to see what I'm wearing than if I'm standing in front of random greenery.

Jacket - Glassons, Necklace - Rubi, Top - Sportsgirl, Bracelet - Lovisa, Skirt - Hipster
On my wish list on the moment is a black dress, preferably a shift dress. I find that's the only kind of item that goes with patterned jackets like this.
How would you style this jacket? I'd love to hear from you!

Moroccan print

Hey everyone! Before posting these photos, I thought about all the OOTD posts I've done so far. And realised I've worn some kind of print in every one of them. Oops! I'm obsessed I know! I love this jacket, I saw it on sites like Hello Molly and Esther, but it was so expensive! As much as I loved it, I wasn't sure how much wear I'd get out of it for $80. But when we were shopping in Melbourne I found it in a little boutique for like, $29! Bargin!
It was pretty cold today so I just wore it with black jeans and black sandals, but when the weather gets warmer I'll pair it with a black shift or smock dress.

The colour is much brighter in real life, it looks a bit washed out in the photos because of the lighting. But the pattern is adorable!
Today I went shopping and got some great new clothes and some nail polishes. I'll do a post on them later!

Prints, prints, prints

Hey guys! Just a quick post for you today to show off my new dress and shoes! I got the flatforms from Betts the other day and I love them, I'll do another post for you later to show you what they look like from the side. Sadly today my toenails were in no state to be photographed!
Also sorry about the really bad lighting in the photos, it was 6pm before I went out for dinner and because it was dark the photos look really pixelated :(
This dress arrived today from Ice, such a bargin it was only $30. It has the same material as one I liked from Dotti and is less than half the price!

Dress - Ice, Shoes - Betts
Tonight was really nice weather to be able to wear a dress, can't wait to wear it to uni as for a shift dress its super flattering! And as you can see I'm still loving my prints!
I didn't get a photo of my bag but I used my monochrome Sportgirl one. I'm on the hunt for a new plain black bag at the moment, I have so many studded ones and they just don't go with printed dresses like this!
I'm having the same problem with studded shoes too!
Does anyone else have the same issue?!

Bandana print

This morning I caught up with my beautiful friend Phoebe and went to Vinnies and then had a cute picnic in the park. I wore one of my favourite skirts, I got it from General Pants a while ago but I'm still in love with the print. The material also feels really nice, and it's an easy low fuss outfit which still looks stylish.
Feels so good to be able to wear summer clothing everyday! As much as I love jeans, it's so much easier to find outfits for warmer weather for uni and what not.

Top - Glassons, Skirt- Don't Ask Amanda via General Pants, Shoes - Betts, Bag - Colette
Although our Vinnies trip was less than successful, we had such a nice day, the weather was 27 degrees and was so nice being outside for a change!
I'm thinking I might do a post soon of the best clothes I've found in Vinnies, would you guys be interested in looking at that?
